Texas Businessman Joins BBVA Compass Board, Wealth Committee

Guillermo Trevino has joined the board of directors of BBVA Compass as well as its parent firm BBVA Compass Bancshares, along with BBVA Compass’s wealth management and trust committees. Trevino is president of Southern Distributing, a beer and soft drink distributor that is part of the Southern Group of companies, which is owned and managed by the Trevino family He also served as a director of the International Bank of Commerce in Laredo, TX from 2008 until 2011, as well as the board of the San Antonio branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas from 2006 until 2011. "BBVA is a leader in global financial services and I look forward to the opportunity to bring a South Texas perspective to the bank's vision for the future," said Trevino.
